Συνάντηση εργασίας Στελεχών της ΠΕΔ-ΙΝ με Αντιδημάρχους του Δήμου Λευκάδας για το έργο ADRURAL
Συνάντηση εργασίας πραγματοποιήθηκε την Τετάρτη 4 Μαρτίου 2026 στο Δημαρχείο Λευκάδας, μεταξύ στελεχών της Περιφερειακής Ένωσης Δήμων Ιονίων Νήσων (ΠΕΔ-ΙΝ) και των Αντιδημάρχων των Δημοτικών Ενοτήτων των ορεινών περιοχών του Δήμου Λευκάδας, με αντικείμενο την παρουσίαση και ενημέρωση σχετικά με το ευρωπαϊκό έργο ADRURAL – Empowering ADRION rural communities to innovate, το οποίο υλοποιείται στο πλαίσιο του Interreg IPA ADRION Programme 2021–2027.
Κατά τη διάρκεια της συνάντησης παρουσιάστηκαν οι βασικοί στόχοι και οι δράσεις του έργου, που αποσκοπεί στην ενδυνάμωση των αγροτικών και ορεινών κοινοτήτων της περιοχής μέσω της καινοτομίας, της συνεργασίας και της ανταλλαγής καλών πρακτικών σε επίπεδο Αδριατικής–Ιονίου.
Ιδιαίτερη έμφαση δόθηκε στη διοργάνωση των Εργαστηρίων Αγροτικής Καινοτομίας, τα οποία προγραμματίζεται να πραγματοποιηθούν στις 18-19 και 25-26 Απριλίου του 2026 σε δύο περιοχές της Λευκάδας, με τη συμμετοχή τοπικών φορέων, κατοίκων και επαγγελματιών της υπαίθρου. Τα εργαστήρια αυτά στοχεύουν στην ανάδειξη ιδεών και λύσεων για ζητήματα, όπως η κυκλική οικονομία, η βιοποικιλότητα, η κλιματική προσαρμογή, η ενίσχυση της τοπικής παραγωγής και η βελτίωση της ποιότητας ζωής στις αγροτικές περιοχές.
Στο πλαίσιο της συζήτησης επιβεβαιώθηκε η σημασία της συνεργασίας μεταξύ της ΠΕΔ-ΙΝ και του Δήμου Λευκάδας για την επιτυχή υλοποίηση των δράσεων του έργου και την ενεργή συμμετοχή των τοπικών κοινοτήτων. Οι παρευρισκόμενοι εξέφρασαν τη βούλησή τους να συμβάλουν ενεργά στον σχεδιασμό και την υλοποίηση των δράσεων, με στόχο την ενίσχυση της βιώσιμης ανάπτυξης της υπαίθρου της Λευκάδας.
Η ΠΕΔ-ΙΝ θα συνεχίσει να προωθεί πρωτοβουλίες που ενισχύουν την καινοτομία και τη συνεργασία στις τοπικές κοινωνίες, αξιοποιώντας τα ευρωπαϊκά προγράμματα προς όφελος των Δήμων και των πολιτών των Ιονίων Νήσων.

Working Meeting between the Association of Ionian Islands Municipalities (PED-IN) and the Deputy Mayors of the Municipality of Lefkada on the ADRURAL Project
A working meeting was held on Wednesday, 4 March 2026, at Lefkada Town Hall, between staff members of the Association of Ionian Islands Municipalities (PED-IN) and the Deputy Mayors responsible for the municipal units of the mountainous areas of the Municipality of Lefkada.
The meeting focused on the presentation of and briefing on the European project ADRURAL – Empowering ADRION Rural Communities to Innovate, implemented under the Interreg IPA ADRION Programme 2021–2027.
During the meeting, the main objectives and activities of the project were presented. The project aims to empower rural and mountainous communities in the region through innovation, cooperation, and the exchange of best practices at the Adriatic–Ionian level.
Particular emphasis was placed on the organisation of the Rural Innovation Workshops, scheduled to take place on 18–19 and 25–26 April 2026 in two locations in Lefkada, with the participation of local stakeholders, residents, and rural professionals. These workshops aim to highlight ideas and solutions addressing key challenges such as the circular economy, biodiversity, climate adaptation, the strengthening of local production, and the improvement of quality of life in rural areas.
During the discussion, the importance of cooperation between PED-IN and the Municipality of Lefkada was reaffirmed for the successful implementation of the project’s activities and the active involvement of local communities. All participants expressed their willingness to contribute actively to the planning and implementation of actions, with the aim of promoting the sustainable development of Lefkada’s rural areas.
PED-IN will continue to promote initiatives that strengthen innovation and cooperation within local communities, making effective use of European programmes for the benefit of the municipalities and citizens of the Ionian Islands.
